Art Series Highlight: International Series
I remember the feeling I felt when I first discovered this series.
It began as a single puzzle piece, a single solid color, transporting into a single mobile shape, moving into its own natural form. The colors and shapes connect. Once each an individual thought, but when combined become an interwoven imaginative tapestry, expanding as far as the canvas would allow.
One cannot plan these discoveries.
One can only be blessed through the grace and frugality of the gods. To increase one’s odds for success, a mere human can only explore, attempt and fail as much as possible.
Luck personified.
International, the series, was born.
There is something about creating a series in a certain style.
Its a family.
A family encompassed with many individuals and unique personalities, when combined each serve the single unit. Bound by love and DNA.
The colors and shapes connect. Each can hold its own, alone. But has more impact when acquired and displayed together.
By creating more works of this series in different sizes provides the opportunity to display these works in a variety of ways. For instance, they can be installed in a row, vertically or horizontally of works in the same size. Or they can be staggered into a multitude of shapes, using both sizes, creating an accent wall popping with color.
The sky is the limit as they say.
But at least I can say, that a wall no longer is one.
