“Window to the Soul” is a 5 ft x 4 ft sentimental greeting card collage / mosaic commission.

I am so very honored to be the artist considered and trusted for this very special, intimate project and long time vision of a very special friend and art collector.

Everyone can relate to receiving heartfelt notes and cards throughout the years, signifying monumental achievements, holidays, and heartfelt notes from dear loved ones. We never want to discard these precious relics, symbolizing and codifying memories and sentiments from persons we love the most, but somehow we never quite found a way to utilize them in our day to day lives, until now. This commission, repurposes these sentiments into a one of a kind work of art.

I feel so grateful to be entrusted with the Collector’s brilliant vision and with her dearly beloved personal notes from individuals who have positively impacted her life.

This project was definitely a labor of love, requiring long hours, months of work, and loads of patience and meticulous attention to detail. This collage consists of 3 layers of individually cut and pasted mosaic pieces deriving from greeting cards and colorful card stock paper, providing layers of colors, interwoven to create contrast and depth.

To say how proud I am, would be an understatement.

What I love most, is that from afar, the viewer sees a beautiful abstract collage / mosaic work of art, but as they draw nearer and closer, the viewer can see all the beautiful, inspiring, and encouraging hidden messages from the Collector’s dearly beloved friends and family. It fulfills my desire to create beautiful but also deeply meaningful art.
